I thought I’d do something special. So, since the some of the extras on the PS2 disc are only in an interlaced format and you can, with an offline and very slow deinterlacer get very nice results, I thought I’d try that instead of leaving it up the not so great Youtube default.
So here we have the first outtakes movie, OUTAKES1.PSS pushed through a process to extract full frames out of the interlaced fields effectively giving 60fps.
I don’t think I’ve seen a 60fps version of these yet, so here goes.
Every once in a while, sanctuary researchers get a treat – like getting to see this tiny baby octopus! 🐙
.
Each summer, researchers conduct expeditions in our West Coast sanctuaries as part of the ACCESS conservation partnership. Researchers get to see creatures big and small when conducting surveys in places like Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary!
This is TaakoTopus being a grumpy girl hiding in the corner of the display tank. She’s a giant Pacific octopus, probably between 3 and 4 years old. She lives at the marine lab I work at, and her tank is right behind the counter I sit at. I’d like to think we are pals. She’s an aggressive cuddler.
