Laika was quiet and charming…I wanted to do something nice for her: She had so little time left to live.
Dr. Vladimir Yazdovsky, who led the program that sent Laika into space. Before launch, he took her home to play with his kids. x

Wild Boars are Badass, German Town Learns the Hard Way.
Wild boars have a history of killing humans who get too close. In August 2016, a wild boar killed an Italian man. They have killed ISIS militants. Even the divine figure Adonis from Greek mythology met his end at the tusks of a boar. Victims of boar attacks can sometimes be mistaken for homicides, because the injuries that the animals inflict with their tusks are like stab wounds.
However, this incident ended in one death, that of one of the boars.

Because Lugosi never learned to drive he got around Hollywood on rollerskates.
Vampira, in which she describes her first meeting with him: “I was a young girl window-shopping on Hollywood Boulevard. I was bending low to see the detail of some shoes and someone whizzed around the corner on rollerskates, almost bumped my fanny and crashed into me. ‘Pardon me,’ said he, and ‘Pardon me,’ said I. He was wearing an Ascot cravat and a beret. It was Bela Lugosi on rollerskates. He was on his way to a cigar store.”

Went to Fanboy Expo last weekend, in Knoxville, on the express purpose of meeting Michael Bell and getting him to sign my 2′ x 4′ Soul Reaver poster I managed to snag off Ebay a few years ago. He’s a pretty awesome dude to talk to. I tried to keep my Fangirl in check.
Not sure if I was successful or not. :P

Drawings of North Korean concentration camp by an escaped prisoner.
Even though these are extremely creepy in nature, it’s important to note that this isn’t the past, but something that is happening right now.
