Finished portrait of Hel, rushed but still okay for uploading I think. Ink, dip pen and markers!
A WIP of a drawing I am working on, featuring my character Skadi and (kind of) my bb’s @riftist‘s character Cayenne in handy sword accessory form! Backgrounds continue to be hard… Also, thanks to @riftist for encouraging me to post. <3
I’ve watched this one being drawn from the very beginning! Bummed out I won’t witness any more live progress, but still excited to see the final version ; u ;
AAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaA gift for @riftist of her character Anku camping out with my character Vonbrot! Made entirely with a dip pen, a brush and some calligraphy ink.
Used way too long on this, and it didn’t even fit the scanner. Good job, me.
A little test picture I did to test out my new brush pens! The original got kinda messed up by a pen that broke, so I had to edit that stuff out, sorry. Anyway, brush pens are pretty fun!
A “quick” character concept doodle of the Ragnarok Unit! They are all named after WW2 aircraft, and stand in strong opposition to Åsgardian rule. They are also old as dust, and about 70% of the squad are likely geriatric at this point. They are also enchanted by some primordial magic source, so there’s that too I guess.
Trying to get back into doodling again, but work is taking up so much time it’s not even funny at this point. I guess I’ll have to add time management to some of the things I should dedicate some more… time to learn. ; u ; b
Managed to finish it just in time!
The clock strikes midnight, and the spookiest day of the year is upon us, oooo~. Inktober sure was a journey and a half, and in retrospect I am happy that I did it, even if I honestly ended up way behind near the end of the last six days to draw anything good. PhD work takes a toll, but squeezing in some pen doodles is both doable and a nice break from all that work.Font used: 04b_30 (http://www.dafont.com/04b-30.font)
Special thanks to @rift5 / @riftist and @0kin / @erer0r for letting me use some of their great characters for some of these doodles!
Mediums: Pen and paper.
Self-imposed challenges: Three drawings per piece of paper, no re-dos, pens only, no sketches, no editing, cross-hatching instead of inking shadows.
Also, thanks Tumblr for making me resize this and chop it up into several documents instead of putting it up as one neat file; loving the blur you put on there, very artistic.
A collaboration I did with Rift!
This is a very small format (A5) compared to what I usually work with (A4). She put down some lines during our summer vacation, and left it for me to toy around with (her first time finishing something using brush pens, I am so proud <3). Since it was drawn on watercolor paper, I decided to do something risky(!) and try out my brand new watercolor markers. I like the effects I achieved, but I am in dire need of practice with them! ; v ;

My BB and me (but mostly BB, dang look at that background) did a thing together and it’s been a bomb! OuO
An assortment of older illustrations from 2011 - 2013, approximately? Uploading these not because I am terribly fond of them (they are kinda bad in retrospect), but because 1) you should always have a piece in your Gallery to show you’re sorta kinda improving, and 2) I get a bit nostalgic when looking at these, hahah. c’:
Additionally, while also showcasing my first fine-detail works, some of these illustrations also show my former ineptitude to stick with actually finishing an image series. Please, lack of ambition, never again.
Illustrations 11 through 20 from “The Human Equation” project, also the final part. Go check out the album if you want, as it is pretty gnarly!
