The Strangest Security Tape I’ve Ever Seen
I’ve come to terms with the fact that everything I know is a dream.
Gurgles and Bugman [WARNING: DO NOT BE A DUMBASS LIKE ME AND GOOGLE IMAGE THIS PLEASE I BEG YOU DON’T]
Reality is Creepier than Fiction

MANGA:

The Enigma of Amigara Fault
“Many man shaped holes suddenly appear on the sides of a mountain, which causes thousands of people from all over the world to gather.”
Manga, around 30 pages.

The Woman Next Door
”Mimi moves to a brand new apartment, where she’s being bothered by her neighbors who play their music too loudly. She later finds out, those neighbors aren’t the ones she should be worried about.”
Manga, around 30 pages.

Index of similar manga scaries right here.

If you’re after more lengthy material, check out:

1000Vultures’s Penpal series
6 short stories that were originally published on the /nosleep subreddit. Warning: sleeping won’t work if you read all six in a row.

Yume Nikki - [download here]
Possibly one of the most underrated interesting things out there, this is a real gem you should all check out. This thing has a really unique atmosphere and has spawned a bunch of fangames. It’s a bit like - just click the link and read.

If you find the whole thing too much of a task to play, watch the YouTube Let’s Play right here instead.
Quite disturbing/gory? [do pixels count or what]

kiedy umrę kochanie
gdy się ze słońcem rozstanę
i będę długim przedmiotem raczej smutnym

czy mnie wtedy przygarniesz
ramionami ogarniesz
i naprawisz co popsuł los okrutny

często myślę o tobie
często piszę do ciebie
głupie listy - w nich miłość i uśmiech

potem w piecu je chowam
płomień skacze po słowach
nim spokojnie w popiele nie uśnie

patrząc w płomień kochanie
myślę - co się też stanie
z moim sercem miłości głodnym

a ty nie pozwól przecież
żebym umarła w świecie
który ciemny jest i który jest chłodny

This clip gives you a taste of what Gilgamesh, one of the earliest known works of literature, sounds like in its mother tongue, Akkadian.

Ravishing.

Wow, that was something truly awesome. :)

Fuck! I’m in my twenties! Everyone has that moment—the realization that adulthood has arrived, like a runaway train, and there’s no getting out of its way. In attempt to express the contradictions and anxieties that come with being over-educated, minimally employed, mostly single, and on your own, Emma Koenig has composed this book full of journal entries about being in her 20’s. This book is hysterical and a source of comfort for when you’re feeling like the world is falling apart around you, (basically every time you can’t figure out what the hell you’re doing with your major). I recommend everyone get a copy of this book, it’s less than nine bucks.

Well, damn. Looks like I’ll have to pick this one up.

« Show me a man or a woman alone and I’ll show you a saint. Give me two and they’ll fall in love. Give me three and they’ll invent the charming thing we call ‘society’. Give me four and they’ll build a pyramid. Give me five and they’ll make one an outcast. Give me six and they’ll reinvent prejudice. Give me seven and in seven years they’ll reinvent warfare. Man may have been made in the image of God, but human society was made in the image of His opposite number, and is always trying to get back home. »

LET ME SMELL YOU

There is actual a hormone in mold that is given off as books age. Humans are naturally attracted to that hormone, so that’s why a lot of people like the smell of books, and especially old ones.
