Day 5: Create a monochromatic graphic to accompany the type
Bodoni
„Now, at last, the masks had fallen away. The strings of the puppets had become visible, and the hands of the prime mover exposed. Most ironic of all was the last gift that Raziel had given me, more powerful than the sword that now held his soul, more acute even than the vision his sacrifice had accorded me - the first bitter taste of that terrible illusion: Hope.”
…
A bit of nostalgia, before the final battle.

Merry Christmas Rex!
I thought you’d like a chatty ex-vampire with no lower jaw!
Oh my god…for me? Thank you so so much! He’s perfect ; u ;
“There were so many different inspirations, it’s hard to just name a few…
As I mentioned earlier, the original idea was very loosely inspired by the rebellious angels of Milton’s Paradise Lost. The spiritual structure of the world was based on the philosophy of Gnosticism, the belief that the cosmos is ruled by a malevolent “pretender” god, that humans are prisoners in a spiritual lie, and that mankind’s struggle is a fight for free will in the face of seemingly insurmountable Fate.”
A little nostalgia with nosgoth.

Sketch of Kain I’m doing. Decided to give him a new outfit because the dude needs to wear more clothing. Srsly…
15-Day Legacy of Kain Tumblr Challenge
(I made this way back but some of the questions sucked ass so I updated it to hopefully make it less ass).
1. How did you first find out about the series?
My cousin got a PlayStation for his birthday (in 1998? 1999? I really don’t remember), and the Soul Reaver demo was on one of the promo discs. I enjoyed to play the demo, but forgot about the game itself and only re-discovered it in 2001 when they had it on discount for the PC. Good times.
2. Which games have you played?
All of them!
3. Which game is your favorite?
Soul Reaver.
4. Least favorite game?
Blood Omen 2; the gameplay was fun, but the narration was kind of bad, imo :’)
5. What system do you prefer to play the games on?
I only really played them on the PC, so
6. Who’s your favorite character?
No, don’t do this to me, don’t make me choose. I like all of them, honestly, but if I’d absolutely have to pick just one it would be Raziel (all those hours spent on listening to him whine made me develop a special kind of affinity for him)
7. Least favorite character?
They are all pretty cool. Except Bane. Bane’s not cool.
8. Who’s more fun to play as, Kain, or Raziel?
I like how fast and agile Raziel is, but I can appreciate Kain’s physical strenght as well. Both are fun to play as :)
9. Do you own any merchandise besides the games?
A Neca spectral realm Raziel figure.
10. Favorite boss fight?
Probably Melchiah. Although Magnus was also fun.
11. Least favorite boss fight?
I found the Elder God fight to be really disappointing :(
12. Favorite quote?
So many! “I am beginning to think the vampires committed suicide only to escape your voice” made me laugh pretty hard, though.
13. If they made another game, would you want Raziel to come back, or do you think he should remain in the reaver?
Aaah, I don’t know. On the one hand, I love Raziel and I certainly would be happy to see him back. On the other, though, I feel that it would lessen the impact of his sacrifice.
My heart tells me that yes, I want the asshole back, but my mind screams that it will be better for the plot if he remains in the sword baaw14. How difficult did you find the series?
Save for Blood Omen, not very difficult (although I got stuck here and there a few times, of course). Defiance downright insulted my intelligence.
15. Which would you rather wield— the soul reaver in its material form, or the wraith blade?
Neither haha, the Soul Reaver is a terrible weapon no matter its form.
