Larger Pacific Striped Octopus
Behavior and Body Patterns of the Larger Pacific Striped Octopus
Over thirty years ago anecdotal accounts of the undescribed Larger Pacific Striped Octopus suggested behaviors previously unknown for octopuses. Beak-to-beak mating, dens shared by mating pairs, inking during mating and extended spawning were mentioned in publications, and enticed generations of cephalopod biologists. In 2012–2014 we were able to obtain several live specimens of this species, which remains without a formal description. Playdead’s new release Inside is the best horror game of 2016 and I do not say that lightly. To explain anything about the game would be an incredible disservice both to it and to everyone who has not gotten a chance to experience it, but suffice to say, the art direction and atmosphere and subtle storytelling are achingly gorgeous and haunting and will worm their way into your brain like nothing else. Playdead’s previous game Limbo was fantastic on its own, but you were to compare the two, Limbo is a delicious and skillfully prepared appetizer, while Inside is a once-in-a-lifetime four-course gourmet meal. I literally cannot stop thinking about this game and getting to experience it was an incredible gift.
Please play inside. Watch a walkthrough if you don’t have the cash/are chicken about playing horror games, but please buy the game if you can because it is an amazing experience and the devs absolutely deserve the money for it.

The film maker is clearly an amateur, but for once there is no annoying music in the background and no transition effects: just two octopuses merging with the bottom floor of the sea.
Nice and calming.
You can tell a lot about a person from their music. Hit shuffle on your iPod, MP3 player, iTunes, etc. and put the first 10 songs! One rule, no skipping! Tag 10 people and pass it on!
