Oddworld Abe’s Legacy

I couldn’t decide on calling this “Next Gen Abe” or “Oddworld Abe’s Legacy”. I decided on Legacy because that feels like it could be a good name if the series were to pick up where it left off. I have always wanted to try creating my own version of Abe, one of my favorite game Characters. I decided I would only create a bust, and create it in full detail. I studied over 10 reference images, a handful of videos, and all the different styles that Abe has been created as, to create the version I find most appealing to me. I also used this as an opportunity to try out Renderman 20, and render in the new RIS mode. I hope to get a chance to work on an Oddworld game in the future.

The Open-Impressionism of  Erin Hanson

Inspired by rock climbing Red Rock Canyon and the southern California desert, Hanson has since spent almost a decade painting the dramatic scenery of Utah, Nevada, Arizona and California. Erin Hanson has created a unique style of her own, bringing elements of classic impressionism together with modern expressionism and adding a dash of “plein-air style.” Her oil paintings stand out in a crowd, bringing a fresh new look to contemporary Western landscapes.

You’re Seeing This Beach Correctly. It’s Very Beautiful And Very Green

photos: Zack Travel

Although not quite one-of-a-kind, this beach in Hawaii is certainly an extremely rare sight to behold. Rather than the usual golden or white sand you’d find blanketing the shores, this is one of only four green beaches in the world! No, it’s not algae or some kind of alien conspiracy, there is a perfectly logical explanation for its grassy hue. Papakolea Beach formed around a cinder cone (that’s the name given to the mound of debris surrounding a volcanic vent) that was rich in the mineral olivine, which unsurprisingly is olive green in color. As the waves lapped at the cinder cone, it gradually broke down and turned into a magnificent green sand. Let’s take a look at this miracle of nature.

切り捨て

“Kirisute- cutting a person down (without a second thought)”

“Daijinomaenoshouji- small sacrifice in a great cause”

Ok, so this is a twisted picture because this expression is obviously referring to something normal, but Griffith thinks of his army as people he can use to get where he wants to go, which is the top, of course. So here he is using the people who are loyal to him as a staircase leading to the highest point obtainable.
