Kain announcer pack for Nosgoth
anxiety keeping you awake at night?
i wanted to recommend some special videos that i’ve been using to help me sleep.
to understand the videos, first let me explain asmr. asmr is a tingingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, and peripheral areas that certain people experience when exposed to “triggering” noises such as whispering, tapping sounds, running water, and all sorts of things. it’s kind of hard to explain, so here is the wikipedia article on it.
now, you may not have or experience asmr. not everyone can get the tingles, but that doesn’t matter. the point is that there is a wonderful youtube community dedicated to making asmr videos full of soothing sounds and relaxing whispers.
these videos are excellent at helping people with anxiety, insomnia, depression, and other stressful mental conditions. i’ve used them recently to help me calm down and get to sleep at night. i thought i would list a few of my favorites here for you all in the hopes that they help you, too.
*remember to listen with headphones because most of the asmr artists use 3D microphones.
- my go-to “getting to sleep” video (includes whispering, tapping, hair brushing, and personal attention)
- the sleep police is here to help you get some rest
- a good witch finds you and gets you ready for sleep
- various relaxing sounds/triggers
- another sounds/triggers video
also, here is a video if you’re really upset and need a friend to talk to
- supportive friend here for people with suicidal thoughts, bullying, anxiety, or depression (i know there are other videos like this out there, but this one is just very helpful and i like it a lot)
you are all beautiful and strong, and you deserve peace. sleep well tonight <3

Space might be empty but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t give off sound. The voices of the planets in our solar system are MEGA creepy.

Devin Townsend - Old Cassette Riff Notebook
“So I’ve always jotted down ideas for records, and in my life I’ve had 3 or 4 recorders. 2 analog, 2 digital. This is the second analog one…I would basically keep 1 cassette in it and just keep recording over and over it, so theres bits of SYL, Ziltoid, Ki, Synchestra etc in any given chunk. I just hit play here for the most part, and this is what was on it. After years of re-recording, it just turns into this bleary mess, but really its just supposed to be a portable memory, so it was fine.
Usually I’ll record ideas anywhere, in a bus or restroom or anything really… I have older tapes kicking around I found recently as well…haven’t listened to those yet though.
Yup. Thrilling I’m sure… =)
