Nope! You’ve been here before.
Add color and DEAR GOD WHAT FRESH HELL have I created.
How art.
ogod I’m here now ;_; been trying to figure out how i want to line art and color these give away sketches they are friggin sketches why am i being so anal and why can’t i figure out how to do sketchy but pretty line art likelakgaslkgajklgaslkgsgfffffff
Because when you do the sketch, you are (usually) much more confident and loose in your lines. You don’t add those minor details either, and there is a scientific explanation to why sketches look better. For short, it has to do with how our eyes work and that when you look at something, the eye cannot take in every details. It is physically impossible, so creating works with too much details (often) looks unreal. I personally enjoy sketches much more than purely refined lineart because there’s so much more soul in sketches.
On, and movement. I cannot stress this enough. The more you overwork something, the more stiff it’ll be because you are erasing the initial movement and strength in your lines.
This is why overworking is bad, unless you really know what you’re doing.
The cure for this?
Like everything else, practise.
