AYREON / Valley of the queens
my journey’s over
I’m standing on the edge
and close my eyes
to this world of liesmy will is broken
it’s the end of all my dreams
my soul yearns
for the valley of the queensmy rose has withered
it will never bloom again
the soil is dry
time has come to diemy faith has left me
they’ve stolen all my dreams
oh lay me down
in the valley of the queensmy search has ended
my name is carved in stone
on the temple wall
beyond Osiris hallno holy sunrays
will light my tomb of dreams
I won’t return
from the valley of the queensPara S.
Top 10 Favourite Concept Albums (in no particular order :P)
Aryeon’s “Into The Electric Castle”
Arguably his most famous album, as it introduces Arjen Lucassen’s unique storytelling through impressive instrumentals and varied vocal talents. The story revolves around eight individuals who are taken from different locations, and time periods of Human history on Earth, and are given a task by a strange and mysterious being.
Though it’s the second album in the first “Ayreon” saga, it’s usually the first people are introduced to, and I highly recommend it if you haven’t heard it before.

Chosen Song: Another Time, Another Space
A secret yearning lurks inside
like a dream trying to hide
Another time, another space
An empty feeling haunts my brain,
a strange void I can’t explain
Another time, another space
