SlickPaint, theorizing Noir and Paint
Questioning one of my fav ships, is it still a crackship or something that can be real… read at your own risk… i’m a pretty grim person.
Oh yeah, there’s that of course! That’s why I don’t dismiss anyone else’s view on this ship; it could go either way and all the by-roads in-between and back again, and it all depends on an individual interpretation of the characters. That’s why I stated that I do love the possible comfort aspect of this relationship, and I really enjoy all the fluff.
Everything I said after that is my own personal opinion, and I tend to be a bit on the pessimistic side about certain things (not going to go into details; I will just say that, in accordance with my experience, it typically takes more than the mere fact of being lonely and miserable to form a meaningful and functional romantic relationship with someone - but, of course, everyone is different). My opinions tend to not be set in stone however, and if I bump into something (preferably canon) that would make me change my general idea about this pairing, I gladly will.
The possible dynamic and tension is what made me like this pairing, but keep in mind that I’m not trying to dictate how anyone else should enjoy this ship. I’m merely exploring the less-fortunate scenario for personal enjoyment.
And, as an aside, there are more kinds of relationships out there - not every single one has to be romantic in order to be meaningful.
