i don’t want to die alone
he said to slick
sing to me, slick
he pleaded
slick nodded solemly and leaned down
and began to sing
like a good neighbor, state farm is there
he tearfully sobbed into droog’s bloody lapel
but no insurance agent appeared
droog died, a disappointed sigh on his lips

I cried.
