Ring-tailed lemurs at Brookfield Zoo were treated to some holiday treats! Animal care staff gave the lemurs “cookies” made of primate chow and applesauce topped with yogurt frosting and dried cranberries and accompanied with sliced bananas and apples. To wash it all down, the lemurs were also given “milk” made of yogurt and water as well as diluted grape juice.
To add to the holiday ambiance, the animal care staff decorated the lemurs’ exhibit with a fir tree adorned with ornaments; a handmade train set, which staff filled with fruit; and a backdrop fireplace where personalized stockings were hung for each lemur.
