i love that everyone in the photos just seems kinda unphased by the giant skeleton. like the two cops are just like “well shit fred the ol bone giant is eating our wires again”

Giant Pacific Octopus

(Wikipedia) The giant Pacific octopus (Enteroctopus dofleini), also known as the North Pacific giant octopus, is a large marine cephalopod belonging to the genus Enteroctopus. Its spatial distribution includes the coastal North Pacific, along California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Alaska, Russia, northern Japan, and Korea.[1] It can be found from the intertidal zonedown to 2,000 m (6,600 ft), and is best adapted to cold, oxygen-rich water. It is arguably the largest octopus species, based on a scientific record of a 71-kg (156-lb) individual weighed live.[2]

The baby crabs are coming back and this year has been the biggest return since like 1995 or something! ( ゚▽゚)/ Usually there’s only been smatterings for the longest time but this is a SEA. The buildings down at the Kampong have been inundated and a whole load of the crablets have made it up near the top town parts of the island which hardly anyone has seen in recent memory! :D

So glad they are not spiders lol. Three of them fell from the ceiling (one landed on my head and the others on my laptop). I’ve had to put off this post for a while because i’ve been spotting more of them running around the house and priorities i have to go and throw them outside BEFORE THEY DIE. WHERE THE HECK ARE THEY COMING IN FROM???
