What do you think about the fact that Miura would rather play idolm@ster than release a new chapter. I love the guy but he seems kind of like a dick to work with, I mean he wont even release anything new to promote the movies coming out. He’s a genius but his work ethic will be Berserk’s undoing. IMO
I…. really don’t think Miura just sits around playing idolmaster on the hiatuses? Like, look. Art takes time. Writing takes time. The amount of both necessary for a comic or manga takes even longer, especially seeing as Miura (I think) doesn’t have assistants. He’s an actual human being whose entitled to take a break sometimes, fandom- stop whining. He doesn’t owe us shit.

Plus; wasn’t it stated somewhere that working on Berserk started to affect his mental health? Whether that’s the case or not, if the man needs a break he needs a break and that’s that. As much as I love Berserk and would like to see the story wrapped up (eventually), I’d rather have the artist himself healthy and contented, perhaps tackling the story with new enthusiasm and motivation after he gets some rest (as I imagine working on a comic series for 20+ years must be both mentally and physically draining).
