poland is not only the last (or one of the few last ones) european country where abortion is illegal and lgbtq people have no rights. poland now also chose a conservative president from a right-wing party led by a madman. people chose a euro-skeptic guy who wants to put people in jail for in vitro, someone who wants to make his assistant in foreign affairs an idiot proclaiming that poland should be a christian republic. society voted for someone against the bill protecting women from domestic abuse because it “puts in danger polish tradition”, a guy who will never be able to distance himself from his political party because kaczyński is crazy and won’t let him. 

thank god president here doesn’t have much power and the worst he can do really is to ruin our foreign affairs with other countries and make poland to be even more of a joke than it is already.

the reason it’s rare is because without chlorophyll, the plant can’t get energy, and dies shortly after sprouting unless it has some other source of food. so if you see a plant as big as the one in the picture that doesn’t have any green in its leaves, it’s getting its nutrition from the roots of a neighboring plant of the same species, feeding on the sugars created by the other plant’s photosynthesis.

albino plants are basically vampires.
