I just sobbed all the way through listening to the first disc of Devin Townsend Project’s album Transcendence and reading the lyrics along with it. I was afraid seeing them live would alter the depth to which their music makes me feel- but no. He still manages to touch a very very deep and intrinsic part of my soul, and even though the music can be heavy at times, these lyrics are so….,, validating and comforting, they inspire me to carry on and feel and love and be part of something bigger than i am right now, and their delivery is so powerful… These lyrics stood out to me and they made me cry the most haha. Just wanted to document them here.

Yesterday we introduced you to one of our special boys- Goose. As stated, Goose suffered an injury presumably from an aerial predator on June 16, 2015, at just 2 months old. While in treatment for his injuries, Goose’s round-the-clock care included feedings every four hours, designing a specially furnished room, and providing him with a battalion of stuffed animal surrogates.
During this time, the staff also began taking Goose for special acupuncture appointments followed by cold laser therapy treatment. While he did not regain function of his paralyzed leg, he did regain motion in his toes, allowing him to grasp objects. On July 8th, the staff watched as Goose was reintroduced to his family. It was a happy day for both staff and lemurs as his family readily took him back. Tune in again tomorrow for another update on Goose’s road to recovery.

My friend showed me this comic last night and I’m so pleased it exists.
More here. They also have a Kickstarter though they surpassed their goal threefold on day 1. I so want this book when it comes out.
