No, you don’t understand how brilliant this is. The comic itself is going to change over time. It will actually retcon itself, and we will be the only ones to remember or experience the story as it unfolds in an extra dimension. The timeline of Homestuck is nonlinear and recursive.

I’m ridiculously happy that there are going to be people who read through this comic, and see those random arms, and wonder what is going on until they reach that panel thousands of pages later, and will think “wow now THAT it foreshadowing” and not know that it was retconned.
