What it is:
Vegard x Funkygine is a collection of short videos on Youtube, following Vegard Harm (one of Norway’s currently most popular young comedic influencers) as he goes on a health and weight-loss journey with the help of Jørgine Vasstrand, a Norwegian fitness and health-blogger.How and why it might be a good resource for Norwegian learners:
- It’s not at all time consuming. Each video is usually around 5-10 min.
- It’s quite entertaining.
- It’s not too complicated– but still showcases a very “natural” Norwegian, with an abundance of jokes and slang you’d find being used among most young people in Norway these days
- While you’ll mainly be exposed to the typical “Oslo-dialect”, you’re also exposed to quite a few different dialects from around Norway
- it has Norwegian subtitles (always written in Bokmål, which is especially helpful when people are speaking in different dialects)Where can I watch it?
Here’s a link to the Youtube-playlist! I’m able to watch it from Japan, so I think (and hope) it should be available for most countries.

When not hunting, the creature’s mouth remains closed and the eyes pop down either side of the teeth. The interior teeth can close without the outer jaw closing so it can chew.
